Friends & Family Test Results

The NHS want you to have the best possible experience of care. The NHS Friends and Family Test is a way of gathering your feedback, so we can continually review our service.

It is based on one simple question:

"How likely are you to recommend our GP practice to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?"

Your feedback will help us learn more about what you think of your experience – what you like and what you think we could improve. Ultimately, you’re helping us to make changes that will ensure we can offer the best possible care.

Patient feedback

We asked the question:
Why did you choose that response?

I joined the NHS October 2024 smoking initiative, so for the last 6 months I’ve managed to reduce smoking from 20/15 a day to zero. In a nutshell I’ve stopped smoking and not had one since beginning of November 24. And this achievement is down to Emma the consultant at Wateringbury surgery. Emma, with here vast experience help me combat the smoking craven, which I’m humbly grateful for invaluable help. Much appreciated, I would certainly recommend the service/ advice Emma to anyone who needs help to kick the smoking habit! Thank you Emma

Recent experience with a referral letter. Both Dr Woods and Vicki were fabulous in helping me. Vickie went above and beyond, so helpful and responsive. It is much appreciated

Booked an appointment to have bloods take. then on arrive was told they was no appointment to have bloods takes no way they could happy as they where all about to go for lunch. so she was sent away.

Surgery is generally very good but just tried to submit a triage form and it’s not available. Rang the surgery - on hold for 21 mins to be told to fill out a form. Advised it’s not available, told to ring back at 6am. I don’t want to be seen today I’d like to book a GP appointment for next available. Not sure what value the system is adding other than annoying the patients!

Been with this practice a long time and always been happy, however, lately I am concerned with the reliance on the Internet I am of advancing years and struggle to use it.

Anima is excellent and appreciated the help with setting up an account from their IT lead

Some GPs better than others Repeat prescription form used to have a box to send messages. Now no longer so one has to call and speak to the receptionist waste their time or with link complete form waste of my time. Now can’t get onto anima and on holiday needing pin pricked for testing blood sugars and not on my repeat prescription list. Why not?

I usually get an appointment for the same day when I ask for one.

It used to be a great surgery and the staff are still good but the new triage system has ruined it and its ridiculous trying to get an answer on the phone. If you work its twice as bad because its rven more difficult to get anything done.

always helpful staff

The practice is first class, with very quick responses to requests I have had to make recently. Any queries regarding particular concerns have been responded to almost immediately and any referrals have been dealt with without delay. All the GPs and particularly Fran, the receptionist at Chaucer Way, are excellent and really inspire confidence in the practice.

Excellent service. I am disabled and bedbound. My GP always speaks to me by telephone or does a home visit when I am really unwell.
